Windows XP SP2 FUCKED me
I installed it and immediately my system started to lag. 100% RAM usage with only one application running and 15 system processes.
Videos wouldn't show only audio which skipped frequently. Got the old "Blue Screen of Death" several times which I had thought ceased to exist past Windows 98. Every time I would Log Off and Log back on I got it. When I restarted it took Windows several minutes to display (the background image of my desktop and Start/taskbar would pop up, but desktop icons wouldn't load for few minutes). My internet and networking connections were also BOTH fucked. Uninstalled the piece of shit and used System Restore to go back a couple days. I would definately avoid SP2 unless I'm just jinxed.

when I installed SP2 and rebooted my PC became a paper weight.. wouldn't even show the windows loading screen.. Fuck SP2. I got lucky and was able to boot up in safe mood so I got rid of SP2 aand everything was perfect again

My SP2 worked fine. For videos I use ffdshow as my codec

SP2 went very smooth for me... For some people it works great and then some it doesn't, makes me wonder if it is other software in the system that causes this.
