Well they said it was an "unknown" blood disease. I have also heard rumors he had sex with many of his male guards. When you think about how he looked, how people described his disease etc, I would not be surprised at all if he had Aids, and they are keeping it secret because of the relgious issues involved.

Seriously I know when and how that rumor is started.
Here in Belgium there was a "first impression" documentary the night he died and they showed raw behind the scenes shots (reporters from all over the world getting ready infront of the hospital etc....).

They showed some american news reporter that was counting down 1 minute before going live. He was going threu his things to say and suddenly he asks the sound-techinichian "wasn't there a rumour he died from AIDS?"
The soundguy answered "No that wasn't a rumour that was a joke between David (whomever that may be) and me."
The saw the reporter getting angry for a few seconds and then he looked really agressive at the technician and said "That's not something to make jokes about".


I'll see if I can find the movieclip but I'm quite sure that this is where that thing started.
