Chopper would eat the hat, but he loves the shirts. He associates it with going outside since he wears a harness. He bounces up and down when he sees me pull out a shirt of the harness.

Is it true they can have major vet bills because of health problems?
When we fork out the 900$- 1000$ to get him she wants to name him Mr.Buggles...makes me laugh everytime
they look liike good dogs

Peaches is more qualified for this question than I am, I am sure she will be around shortly...

..but yes, they can, but it is a chance you take with any dog. They are great, fun people loving dogs.

If you are lucky, they will go shopping with you.

Weeeellllll - I have 2 pugs now and had one growing up. You can save $$$ by getting a pug through your local rescue group and save your money for health issues

I have been very luck in that my female is almost 12 and my male almost 9 and no major problems. My female has the breed optimal VERY short nose and has a hard time breathing when it's hot. My male has the less desirable "apple" nose, but he can breath a lot better.

Now for my lecture

PLEASE don't buy a pug from a pet store or a back yard breeder. Go to some dog shows and talk to the breeders and get to know them. HOWEVER, getting a rescue pug is really the best thing, IMHO

Pugs are my all tlme favorite breed but they do have problems and quirks. If you don't like shedding, sneezing and snoring, don't get one.
