I don't understand how a person's relative affects the person's abilities, personality, opinions, life and decisions.

Well, we could start with the fact that he was planning and executing the Hijacking of planes in the 60s and 70s, until he was kicked out of Lybia, then went on to plan, and finance thousands of murders specifically targeting women and children.

He took billions in aid money (millions of it from the US), that was meant to give his people a better life and instead stuck it in banks (mostly in France), while his people STILL don't have proper sewage and electricity.

That in 2000, when he had a chance to have a palistinian state, he turned it down so that he could stay in power.

Actually that report stated that they were "95% sure that the actual figure was somewhere between 8,000, and 187,000 civilians" In other words.....they didn't have a freacken CLUE. Accourding to that report it could have easily been only 10,000.
