Thank you! I can't belive I made it this far through the thread without him being mentioned. "In The Heat Of The Night" is proof enough alone that he should be on ANY list of the best American actors of all time and not just black actors.

I love the work of Forrest Whittaker. He is an excellent actor turned director.

Morgan Freeman also owns a farm and really cool restaurant in Mississippi. You can find him and his wife there often. A friend went for her birthday and Morgan was in the place that night. He and Mrs Freeman stopped by their table and actually sat down and had dessert with my friends! Really down to earth people.
