For me it's everyone around me being content and at the same time in a nice, tidy peaceful environment

It's all relative.

You get hot chicks every day, but then for some reason you don't get any action, then you are less happy than the ugly guy who didn't get laid for 1 year but now he had luck

You had been making $100k per month but then you suddenly dropped to $35k per month..which is still great..but I bet that the guy who had been making $3k per month but now he increased his profits to $5k per month, will be happier than you.

Same goes for many other areas.

The more you get, the more you demand from life.....

When I was young I thought happiness meant being all smiles and content 90% of the time. My dad told me that if you are happy 51% of the time, miserable for 49% of the time, then you are indeed happy. It just put things in perspective for me. It meant that when I was miserable or down in the dumps I didn't let it get me down, I knew that overall things were just fine.

My definition has changed over the past 5 years.

4 years ago I was making bank, driving a Viper, living in a nice house, partying non stop. I thought that was what you called happiness.

Now, the money requirement is still the same, but wasting money on stupid shit has gone done drastically. I've been more happy during the short periods of not making money, than times I have.

I've found the less I have to show off to other people with clothes, cars, sunglasses, whatever, the more money I have in the bank.

Funny how that is, isn't it?
