Yesterday ad lest couple days, there were many complaints across the internet as a whole (the full gamut of hosts/providers) about networking in issues.
It's possible your problem was related to this. |

we had 0 issues, and i didnt hear anyone else having issues either. |
There were some latency issues last night with L3 for about 20 mins...started at 4:30am or so...

We are just trying to get to the bottom of this issue. If it is a problem on our end that is fine. People in this thread have been making guesses that it might be on our end, but no one from Jupiter has given us any indication that it is on our end. If it is so obvious that its our fault, then why don't they point it out to us?
It is plain to see from the bandwidth chart that bandwidth is down 30% since Monday at noon and showing no signs of improving. We are getting no feedback from Jupiter as to what we should be doing on our end to fix it, so until we get that feedback we are going to assume that it is not on our end. In spite of that, our tech guy has spent many hours researching the issue from our side, but with ZERO feedback (besides "looks OK to us") from Jupiter it is all guesswork, and possibly a waste of time if we are in the dark on the real issue. Lensman, if your bandwidth charts were off 30%, and the answer you got from your hosting company was "looks ok to us", would you accept that answer? |
SoCal and Twistys load in normal speed from Germany. no sign of a slow down.
Can't test Twistys member area cause my password is not working anymore. :Graucho |
Nobody wants to hear their hosting company tell them what the problem "might be" or what they "think" the problem is? How about a real solution to a real problem fixed in a timely manner?
Good luck Shap'ster :thumbsup |
Thanks Dean

New software. Software updates. Adding updates to a DB that might have screwed something up (broken indexes in a DB can slow anything to a halt). Anything. Have you checked your DB's if they are OK? |
Nothing changed Swedguy. Our stuff has been running smooth for over a year. On our end we've spent the past 2 days going over every possible solution for it. No luck. Ray and his crew are on it, i just talked to him. Hopefully we'll have a solution soon :)

We are hoping for a breakthru soon. Our fingers are crossed

My site www.jillpages.com has also been slower in the past few days. I notice the time it takes to source the DNS is long. |
Your site load quickly here in canada Shap.
Lensman why I see megabit.com for the first DNS Domain servers in listed order: NS1.MEGABIG.COM 66.60.188.230 NS4.JUPITERHOSTING.COM 66.77.140.200 Is it that Jupiterhosting is a mirror only for gofuckyourself.com ? |
http://www.socalcoeds.com/ref/4//index1.html
loads kind of slow here as well. T1 connection, west coast. |
btw apparently the socal problem and our problem are completely different and unrelated.
