    Firefox 1.0 sucks!

    I downloaded and installed it. Once of the good things is now I can start clicking links before the page has fully loaded.

    But the bad thing is that I used to use a lot of javascripts that did webmaster duties or page creation duties for me. Now they cause Firefox to hang.

    Also at some points it just locks up or gets extremely slow when opening new windows and I have to close firefox completely and start fresh again for about 30 minutes...

    Fuck this shit, I am going back to the beta version.

                                                          I unintalled pr1 and then installed the final. Everything works fine for me .

                                                              Have you ever used the JS Console to see if your javascript sucks

                                                              regardless, Firefox shows webpages the way they are SUPPOSE to look.

                                                              What I mean by that is, it looks for PROPER code, not shitty as WYSIWYG code that Frontpage spits out and Internet Explorer can pick up on.

                                                              Firefox is a good browser that promotes web standards or proper coding techniques.

                                                                              I don't think so. It more depends on what are you using your browser for. Just leave Fiefox idle for more than 2 min and see how it hangs after that, try to load a page while you're playing with the settings - it crashes, plus it is much slower than K Meleon. I only use Firefox only when I need to use Roboform - thank god that doesn't happen too often.

                                                                                      Hmmm 1.0 sucks... the old version worked better.. this one keeps loading new windows into the last used window when opening a window from inside another application. That was one of the reasons I didn't like IE!

                                                                                      Also if you open multiple windows at once it is a lot slower to open and display their info and/or give you the mouse back.

                                                                                                      For fun open taskmgr and note the mem usage of firefox.. While llooking at taskmgr minimize all ff windows.. It will drop ram usage as much as 75%
