I need help with a VIRUS!
OK, I got some sort of virus or spyware on my computer and it's really pissing me off.
I have full updates on Nortons and adware and have ran complete system scans. They have both eliminated all spyware and viruses I had on my computer. The spyware I had made my desktop an html page, so anytime I click on it it would take me to a page selling spyware removal tools. After I ran the adware it elimiated the ad which is good, but it then left a blank white html page as my desktop. I right clicked it and found where it was located went in and deleted it, but it did not go away. When I right click my screen it still shows that file location. Does anyone know where I can go in my system to delete whatever is is forcing my computer to list this as my desktop. The location is something like C:windows/desktop.html I have already deleted that from my C: windows directory, I just now need to find out how to delete whatever is making it stay that way. If I move my tool bar down I can see the old pic I had still there. Sorry this is long, please help!! |
