As a volunteer fire person in my small community I would like to send my prayers to the fire men's families.
It is the worst feeling to go into a burning building and an even worse thing for the families to sit and wait for their loved ones to return from the accident scene.
Our flag at the Fire Hall flies at half mast for all.
Below is a prayer we have in paintings, hand stitched in garments, and such throughout the hall.

Fireman's Prayer

When I am called to duty, God?
Where ever flames may rage?
Give me strength to save some life?
Whatever be its age?
Help me embrace a little child?
Before it is to late?
Or save an older person from?
The horror of that fate?
Enable me to be alert?
And hear the weakest shout?
And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out?
I want to fill my calling and?
To give the best in me?
To guard my every neighbor and protect his property?
And if according to your will?
I have to give my life?
Please bless with your protecting hand?
My children and my wife.
