I'm from ny instant..

Woke up this morning to a Terminator 3 movie except its real. I go to school in the city on 23rd street and lexington, about 10min away from the trade center. Highways are closed, people cant get home. I personally know people who work at the trade center and cannot get in touch with them. What's really sad is that not only countless lives are lost here, but the twin tours are the gold of new york city. Everytime i have visitors, the first thing i show them in the city are the twin tours. For those who haven't seen it (not on tv but in reality) it looks like a picture, almost unrealistic. I cant believe its gone. I can say this, whoever did these acts are trained professionals. It is extremely difficult to crash a plane into a building like that. That requires heavy military experience. (that is what they say on the news) But if you're so well trained why would you make yourself a suicide killer?
I have been at the trade center countless times... 9am is when there is most people, everyone working. 12pm is lunchtime. NY is on full terrorist alert right now.

has anyone been to the world trade center,,
i heard it was said that the building can still hold up against a plane crash and also on emergencies the elevator shuts down and it takes over an hour to walk down?

my girlfreind lives in Manhattan, just about inbetween world trade & empire state.
she called me & woke me up. I turnned teh TV on just as the 2nd plane hit. she says its a mess dust everywhere. & its amazing to look where the towers used to be, & not see them there. YOu feel all dissorented, like your lookin gin the wrong direction.

I just couldn't believe it, and still couldn't... I mean, I have pics of the twin towers next to my computer from a trip I made to NY... and now to think they went away with thousands of lives...

I live on John St. In the financial district.

Luckily I was away on business in boston. My building is not accessible and my roomates were moved to NJ.

Hope no one lost anyone.
