Pet Lovers Please Read

Don't know if this is true???????????? But read it anyway!!!
Subject: Fw: IMPORTANT!

FYI. I recently had a neighbor who had to have their 5-year old German Shepherd dog put down due to liver failure. The dog was completely healthy until a few weeks ago, so they had a necropsy done to see what the cause was. The liver levels were unbelievable, as if the dog had ingested poison of some kind. The dog is kept inside, and when he's outside, someone's with him, so the idea of him getting into something unknown was hard to believe. My neighbor started going through all the items in the house. When he got to the Swifter Wet jet, he noticed, in very tiny print, a warning which stated "may be harmful to small children and animals." He called the company to ask what the contents of the cleaning agent are and was astounded to find out that antifreeze is one of the ingredients. (actually he was told it's a compound which is one molecule away from antifreeze). Therefore, just ! by the dog walking on the floor cleaned with the solution, then licking it's own paws, and the dog eating from its dishes which were kept on the kitchen > floor cleaned with this product, it ingested enough of the solution to destroy its liver. Soon after his dog's death, his housekeepers' two cats also died of liver failure. They both used the Swifter Wet jet for quick cleanups on their floors. Necropsies weren't done on the cats, so they couldn't file a lawsuit, but he asked that we spread the word to as many people as possible so they don't lose their animals. *** PS! If it's dangerous for pets to WALK ON.... then it's also dangerous for human babies to crawl on!! I hope

Hey, my mom just emailed this to me...thought I would share

Hmmm, I'll look into to this myself. If it's true that sucks. I use Swiffer at my place.

Thanks for the info on that urban legend.

On another note, killing innocent animals is cruel. Just wanted to get that in as I know I will now be subject to name calling and such.

Hope it is. However, I am to lazy to read the labels on cleaning agents so I just don't buy them when someone tells me it is harmful...silly me for being cautious and taking family and friends advice and sharing the info here.

Thanks for the tip. I'd hate that to happen to any of our pets.

"So much about this anonymous message purportedly detailing the demise of someone's neighbor's dog and that neighbor's housekeeper's two cats is either wrong or unverifiable that we cannot see how it could reasonably be considered anything but false:"

So it's not true?

Spoke too soon, he did do research, though some of his statements are leaning to the side of false when there's no proof that it isn't false.. of course you can't base things off of one person's statement.

i had a ferret that i kept in a cage. i dont wanna say no names cause some of these peaple are in the "bizz". Anyways, i kept my ferret in my friends studio. Just to ya'll know, the ferret was the most gentle pet i ever had, i named it "frankie". i started haveing problems with my friends girl because she hated ferrets for some stupid reason.(personaly, i think the bitch just wanted attention).
well, one day i show up at my friends studio and my ferret cant walk all of a sudden. Thats very wierd, i thought. i took it to a vet and he told me that something must have fell on it and broke the spine, which fucked up all off frankies nervous system. I had to put frankie to sleep..... now, i cant understand how something fell on him if he is always in the cage(a BIG cage). i recall the friends slut girlfriend saying that she would step on it if she seen it out...
when i found frankie, he was in his cage.....i wonder what sick hahahaha whore with a nasty power trip would hurt an inocent animal like a ferret.......i dont know what to do.... can i get some feed back from you guys?? what should i do, what do u think??

my dog eats it too but it's just digested grass, like cow poop. Shouldn't be a problem there.

I have not heard about the Swiffer things but I don't use it and never will. thanks for posting
