they are very versatile the w6 subs can be run 3ohm or 6 ohm.. when you run 3 oh (bridge the conections together) and you have 2 subs..as long as you have a decent amplifier.. you will bridge mono to 1 and 1/2 ohms.. the amp sees that as .75 per side.. keeping the amp stable.. there are very few amplifiers that are stable at 1/2 ohm.. they over heat and shut down.. JL has this worked out.
As for the mid range of base.. they work in a .675 Cubic foot enclosure... allowing for a much punchier bass.. of course you can make them give you ghetto bass if you port and tune your box to between 50 - 70 cycles.. with the small enclosure you will be at about 100 cycles .. nice mid base
