All of you people wondering about drop shipping, you're wasting your time. Profits will be low, and hassles will be high.

I would hate to deal with the returns and fulfillment logistics.

Payment placed in 3rd party escrow until results are proven is acceptable, yes?

What do you need to know? It's a platform for meeting China-based suppliers for whatever goods you are interested in.

Step 1: you research the products you are looking for

Step 2: you select from a list of suppliers

Step 3: get in touch with the suppliers. Arrange for shipping. Also arrange for large lots or partial lots.

:warning Use a secondary email acct because Chinese/Asian spammers harvest that site for spam leads. :warning

My income from Ebay grew exponentially and then it hit a plateau. I'd like to know if any other adult webmasters use Ebay as a suplemental revenue stream.

Speak up, Ebayers! :thumbsup

it's pretty easy. if you have great marketing skills.

I did go through it but it just seemed beyond me...I can't really explain it *shrugs*
I'd really like to use it, though. I really enjoyed selling some things I got cheap from eBay and I wouldn't mind being a gypsy for a summer :)

Hey, Holly. This was an interesting read. I'm curious how you did with the deal you made with mkx? Was the $1000 worth it for the info he gave you?

u sell hawaii products on ebay? a friend of mine does it and makes a little pocket change.

Axzar 10-23-2005 02:20 AM

Wow, this thread is old.

I am a year out of selling anything on eBay. I bet it is a lot harder now (isn't everything?). They key is still how low you buy. That only really matters until someone buys lower.

If I were to do it again, I probably wouldn't.

As I was taught by a friend, if you sell peanuts, you make peanuts. Don't go the way of the high volume, low priced shippables. The work will drive you crazy and the fees as a percentage of sales will kill you.

I also had deals with local manufacturers and never paid for anything up front.

There IS money on ebay. However there is also big money in traffic online.

Remember the story of the blogger who made over $1million from google ads alone in the first 9 months. Insane. I prefer to pursue the traffic opportunities.

woj 10-23-2005 02:22 AM

100......... :)
