"was" - and that would have been a very different race. He barely won against a Jew-VP, Gore would have probably pulled that one off.

Not sure how many electoral votes where you live, but I think you are a dreamer.

Missouri has 11 electoral votes.

I am a dreamer. I think Parrot Head would be a closer description.

You have a valid point there. A different VP for Gore in the end would have been better for him.

You are old. :)

I have a brother in Misery, I wonder how he feels. . . . Retired military . . . probably doesn't agree.

Colin Powell won't run. He's finished. He's been played by his own party. When things were going bad, they put him out there to tell us the kinds of weapons Saddam had and all the other lies. He was used like a puppet. He knows that. He didn't want to go to Iraq. I'm sure he'll retired after this is all said and done. He probably will retire this coming year so that he's not shamed further belonging to a party whose current policy in Iraq is one that he doesn't agree with.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hillary in the whitehouse. Like others have said, I'm not sure that America is ready for a female President, even though gender wouldn't be an issue for me. Is America "that far behind" as somebody put it. I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

or cause she's a woman and rhumored to be gay?

one's the right reason - one ISN'T the right reason to support the possible leader of the free world.

She is the brightest but Americans like stupid politicians, so she doesn't stand a chance. Perhaps they should let a monkey run against a republicnan. Only way to win in the red states :1orglaugh

So is Jimmy Buffet.

Wish we had the computer/Internet technology when I was in my 20s-30s... Think of college without a PC or digital calculator.

Maybe too old for GFY? There are a few of us old-timers here. Charly is in his 50s too. There are others, but better off not naming them.

Sad about Powell! A brilliant man with leadership skills.

okay . . . presidents always get 2 terms. Bush, Sr was the exception to the rule.

Nomintate Clinton in '08, and guarantee no Democratic chance at the White House until 2016.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Bet that's exactly what happens, too. Michael Moore leading the "Elect Hillary" charge. What a collective group of failures Democrats have become.

Which way are things changing though? This President just won an election by the largest margin ever. He ran on an openly faith based "God and Bush = good, everyone else = bad" campaign. There's no question where George stands on religion and the people ate it up.

That would be cool hillary could get her dick sucked in the oval office too

Margaret Thatcher - UK, KIm Campbell - Canada, Indira Ghandi - India....

Is America really so damn far behind...? I actually don't think so.

I choose Hillary cos she's got nice hair. :thumbsup

Kim Campbell?

Her short term had to be one of the biggest shams in Canadian history. She only lasted 4 months before she was ousted.

Eros and the others are right, no way a woman would fly as president in the U.S. Having a female prime minister even left a bad taste in most Canadians' mouths.

By the next time a new President is sworn in it will be 44 years before any President from a state other than Ark, GA, TX or SoCal has been President. Bill got elected because he appealed to Southern Democrats and didn't have the elitist liberal label that Kerry and others from the Northeast that the dems keep trying to run have.

They better distance themselves from the michael moore's, alec baldwins and other Hollywood types and start appealing to the avg joe in Nebraska.

Don't hate the playa hate the game.
