Forget about profit-how about the girls that make it possible!!
The one thing that I never hear about on this board (or any other adult board) is about the models that make this business possible. First, thanks to all of them!
While we all worry about our conversions and so on, I can't help but wonder what the girls get paid for their work? I hope they make the money they deserve... believing this is the only way I can sleep at night... If they are not paid what they deserve, I would be happy to decrease my cut. Anyone have insider knowledge on this... |

We pay our models more than they could earn at McDonalds or Wal-Mart (unless they were "tricking" the clown ...), but not as much as Jennifer Lopez makes for a video.
None of our girls have ever complained of being exploited or underpaid ... don't forget these girls sign releases and contracts UP FRONT, and know exactly what they are getting into. ------------------  The Black Sheep of the Boneprone Family |

O.K., maybe I should have added...intelligent answers only. And yes, if I thought that the girls were not making enough I would gladly decrease payouts.
Sorry, perhaps this discussion is to heavy for some, but we all want the gov't to leave us alone and for all of us to continue to prosper from this industry. I'm willing to take the steps needed to make this industry an honest & respectable one. Don't get me wrong, I have every reason to believe that the girls do make a good living. But I am simply curious... |

Sure, I will not deny that there are a few ASSHOLES, SCHEMERS, and CHEATS in this business (no names necessary ... the guilty know who they are) ... but that is standard in any business ... I use this example ONLY to illustrate a point, I DO NOT want to start a pissing match with anybody ... Take a look at the Roman Catholic Church (and by definition of the word, YES ... it is a business). One of the highest respected "businesses" in this side of the world, and it still has it's share of LIARS, CHEATS, and yes ... PERVERTS and SICKKOS too !! If only the world were a perfect place ... If you are questioning the integrity of this business, I suggest you get involved in the next CHARITY AUCTION that the adult online community does! It is a very moving experience when you and your peers can band together and raise $115'000.00 for two of our own, who just suffered the loss of an infant child. YNOT Bob also told me that the Miami Charity Auction raised almost as much too !! It is times like these, (as well as payout check day ... LOL),that I hold my head VERY HIGH, and am proud to be an adult webmaster  Whenever any of my friends try to chastise me for being in the business, telling them about the good we do (such as the auctions) usually shuts them up ... hell, it has even converted a couple of the same nay-sayers, to buy a domain, and get involved in the biz ... I have no intention of not being a adult webmaster. But, at the same time, as in any business, every once and awhile, questions need to be asked. I know exactly what I have gotten into, and sometimes I just need the facts to ensure that I have not lulled myself into a sense of false security. And yes, overall, most parts of our industry are respectable. But, behind every corner also lingers the kiddie porn peddlers, the intrusive software downloaders, the "teen" peddlers.... Until our success is simply the result of good marketing and quality product, there will always be room for improvement. Playboy magazine did it with quality, and we can too. (I should add, that's why I use Amateur Pages...they offer a good product with honest advertising!!) |

Any attractive 18 or 20 year old girl who can't go out at Noon and have a job by 6 p.m. isn't trying very hard. The truth is, a lot of them would rather pose nude for what seems to us a rather small amount of money than go out and do an honest day's actual work. And a lot of them do it for psychological reasons as well (they are exhibitionists). There are those who will argue that such and such an amount is too little for a model to make, as if there is some amount written in granite somewhere. Funny, if I were bookkeeper, I might get $7.50/hr working for one company and $18/hr working for another, but no one is out the crying about how much a bookkeeper should make. And that bookkeeper could be a single mom with 5 kids! Frankly, I'd worry more about the single mom with 5 kids than the model who could certainly get "real work" if she felt like putting in a 40 hour work week. However, I notice that models seem to have always "partied" the night before, so holding down a real job isn't really something that fits into their lifestyle, because partying and holding down real jobs where other people depend on you don't always mix very well. Modeling is their choice, not ours, so let's not kibbitz. As long as they are told in advance what the pay is and as long as they have freely decided to take the offer, and no deception has taken place, it's an honest and good business transaction as far as I'm concerned. ------------------ Check out the new teen/young woman content at Wonders of the Unseen World |
