I have to try this sometime too. When I was 14 got a girlfriend out of a girl calling a wrong number. Pretended to be the dude, they figured it out soon I wasn't, yet I eventually got her and her friend over to the house, THAT NIGHT!

2) My suggestion to you to assure your customers is post the new agreement you mentioned in your thread.

3) Now since you claim that you would have been one of the first to hear about it (assuming it is not your company) I guess you weren't.

4) You are very perceptive in that this did not come from IBILL or Penthouse Management. I have already written that I have never worked for IBILL or Penthouse and I have never received a dime from either company.

5) Now put your money where your mouth is. If I am correct I will pay every one of your customers fees for 6 months. If I am correct you give them free service for 6 months. If you would rather make a personal bet name your price.

You writing that I should be banned is calling me a liar and I have already proven on this board that when I write something it is true.

Have a nice evening. [/B]

Damn, this is irresponsible of you guys to start saying ANYTHING when you don't have any facts, other than a 3rd-hand rumor from a flunkie at IBILL

Steve Lightspeed

Uhhh if President of the USA can deny the thruth, I don't see why an adult processor can not.

In fact, any business with a brain would deny. It's a fucking business afterall.

For those who did not already hear the rumors (and I repeat RUMORS), they are that:
a) CCBill is going to soon offer a billing solution similar to iBill direct where every site owner comes with their own merchant account. Not quite a gateway solution but more of a hybrid. The rumor is that this will be an additional offering to what is already being offered and is not a changeout of the current IPSP arrangement.
b) That Paycom has been given notice by Payment Tech that they are exiting the adult market. There is even a specific date being floated around, January 31st, 2005.

I have heard many many rumors that were complete bullshit fabrication and I am in no way saying that these are true. This is just what is being floated around.

Ron and Rand have both plainly stated their positions and for the record SCORE sends transactions to both these companies right now.

c) My last name really IS "Lightspeed".
d) Elton John was gay all along.

Thanks for giving us the rumors.

Sorry I've been off GFY all day and actually getting some work done.

As far as knowing who it is, doesn't really matter other than curiosity.

And with helping out, our bank is always looking to place high risk accounts. We are offshore. Anyone who is serious and wants details can contact me through ICQ.

I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread yet so I'm probably just talking to myself.

Without even reading all the replies I quickly went through and looked for the key players in here, namely KimmyKim, Rand, RonC, Corvett and Chris Mallick. Seeing their replies, I'm not going to bother reading the rest of this thread. Glad to see the big boys (and gals) are on stable ground. Congrats, not that there was any doubt.

iBill doesn't have a IPSP relation with Merrick. iBill is setting up companies with their own merchant account with Merrick and then you use iBill Direct for the gateway and other features. It's kind of confusing to some people, cause iBill has been making it confusing on purpose it seems like to keep as many clients as possiable.

Nice to be included in that group, but the real responses come from the processors themselves, and I'm glad to see them responding.

Frankly, I'm waiting for someone from IBill to post, since at this point in this thread, I think its the only thing we should wait for.

Because it will be fun. If he has sources he should name them.

Hey Ron, speaking of pics. Was it Dave that ended-up getting the pics from the shark feeding in Curacao? Allie and I would like to get a copy of those if you know how we could track them down.

Ok so I heard about this rumor and thought I was going to vomit....so I had to come and check it out. I read it post by post...feeling sick...and then Paycom and CCBill reps replied and reassured us things were fine. Whew! I hope this is true and I'm counting on it. Every industry I get into goes to hell...hopefully this one lasts for many years to come.

As for you Steve Lightspeed...you are nasty! How can you even spread a rumor about Elton John being gay. That is so sily...I could never believe that to be true. :Graucho

Shap 11-03-2004 10:33 PM

Wow there's really no doubt who Lawyersuck is.

angelsofporn 11-03-2004 10:59 PM

Elton John is not gay

Paul Markham 11-03-2004 11:36 PM

Webstream, who we were with, have given their merchants 90 days to find other processors. They have to pull out of processing for Adult sites.

We have found alternatives.

Seems if a small processor can treat their clients properly one of the big ones is doing something wrong. With 90 days notice it would have been easy to move your billing and not lose too much money with billing and rebilling.

3 months is a long time in terms of memberships, seems Ibill had a reason to now warn their merchants. If they had a 90 notification clause in the contract with their bank, if they did not that is even scarier.

Isn't that the truth. The fact that we were still with Ibill, should make that even more clear. :winkwink:

When we first started out, we promoted Xpics, and didn't know or care about processors. By the time we got around to opening our pay site, we were about 1 or 2 years into it, around 98. We chose Ibill then, and other than experimenting with a couple of other processors along the way, stayed with Ibill. So our range of experience with processors is pretty narrow, and as far as the stuff that goes on behind the scenes (like Merrick and FirstData) I've learned more about that in the past month because of Ibill than I had in nearly 8 years otherwise.

Re: Elton John. On a similar topic, I was a Culture Club fan for years and years before I knew Boy George was gay. :1orglaugh

I think everyone is on edge after the shitty election. I know I am grumpy and on edge too.

Lawyerssuck 11-04-2004 05:00 PM

How many of you called your processors today and put them on the spot? They still would probably lie to you but if I were in your position I would be very careful on how much business I gave to one company until this company comes out and tells the truth.

They are probably trying to either get the Gkard or get another bank.

You have been told. Do what you like.

You just get home from your day job? Or do you really think that any other processors need this gkard? It's a virtual Visa issued by a bank in Antigua, big deal.
