Not too cold from what I remember. We were there during the very short summer. It's one of the first places I can remember going with my father. He used to be the Mine Manager for Giant Yellowknife Mines. Lots of Silver in Greenland.

It's not as expensive as you think.

I backpacked around the world for six months in 1998 and it cost me around US$20,000.

That's for everything too... air fares, accomodation, train passes, food, accomodation, whores, drugs etc.

Yeah I try to go to places to experience new cultures. That's why I've travelled a bunch in the Orient. The culture there is just so different from anything I was used to here in North America that it really drew me there. Singapore is perhaps one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

I'm a big sucker for Costa Rica though. I spent over a year there and will return to live soon.

ONLY $20,000. After I finish school and am makin a good bit of dough I'll be able to do that, until then it ain't happenin unless I re-enlist in the military. Such is the life of a college student. :(

The president is not simply the figurehead position it once was. Also, every branch of the federal government is under republican control with a lame duck president who doesn't have to worry about re-election. We're in for a rocky 4 years.
