If i had my choice id pick vancouver. Toronto is really nice, but it is really big.

Vancouver is probably the nicer of the two, being warmer during the winters, having the pacific next to you and skiing pretty much anytime you want with some great slopes. Toronto is bigger but if you can afford Vancouver, I'd go with that.

There also great fishing out here (among other things) and 3meg adsl on the beaches
