For all of you that are complaining about the re-election of the President

...your real concern if you were/are concerned should be the fact that the Republicans picked up seats in Congress. The real seat of power lies with Congress and the President virtually has no power without the approval of Congress. The President cannot make law...he cannot declare war...he cannot appoint Judges...he does not control finance. The power of the Presidency is primarily that of the "bully pulpit".

The point is that the President and Congress are of the same party and the Congress does whatever Bush says and that makes me worry. Wasn't it BUSH that picked Ashhahahahaha? With Kerry as Prez and the repubs in control of Congress at least you'd have balance

The power of the President is the VETO... among other things.
While it's true he can't make laws without Congress, it's virtually impossible for Congress to make laws without the president's approval.

He also has a great deal of military power.

And yes, a republican Congress is a HUGE concern.
