new amateur site, self process vs becoming a program site

I am starting an amateur site and need some advice. Anyone who has run one or if you just have good info for me would be appreciated. Which seems to be better, processing the site yourself (with a company eg ccbill) or setting up with a program as one of their sites and letting them handle all that and only taking a %.

any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated. thanks :-)

Use CCBill at first! They've got you covered..

We are going to establish new website too... (with different content). I think it is better to manage it yourself and use some good billing company - for example ccbill.
