The MTV Generation Didn't Show

So much for P. Diddy's Vote or Die crusade.

Yup. Election 2000 and 2004 had the same number of young voters.

So the 18-24 shouldn't start whining once they get drafted.

I'am glad, It is funny cause MTV is claiming they made a huge difference, yet all news stations report otherwise.

well, perhaps it scared the bible belt enough to get them to vote. It is still a difference.

The news stations said the same % of voters were young. However Rock the Vote said they would get 2 million more young people to the polls. Because of the increase in votes overall the same % was something like 1.5 million more votes than last election.

Scarey I agree with Joe Citizen to an extent.

All the bullshit vote or die hype, concerts and the like meant nothing. These lazy leeches still couldn't get off their asses and vote. They are so self absorbed in their own little worlds they have no clue what the fuck they may have just did.

A draft may be the wake up call the "MTV Generation" needs.

They've been mindfucked since they day they were born, it doesn't surprise me. A draft is probably exactly what America needs at this point to slap some sense into people.

I wish MTV would get away from all the bs slanted political stuff and just focus on music.

Schools should be teaching civil duty, not Puff Daddy.

I am 22 and I voted for Kerry and I saw quiet a few guys my age in there. If it comes to a draft I am not going. I will go to jail first if they catch me before I leave the country.

That should actually work. If you voted for Bush the draft applies to you, if you voted Kerry it doesnt... would love to see how many people with they voted Kerry.

But that is in the land of if's and buts

...or was it that too many of that 1.5 million wasted their votes on Nader?
