This sucks, I received two letters confirming I'm registered to vote

and the last told me where to go vote, however when I went in today, I gave them my name and of course they it wasn't on the list. So they made me fill out a provisional ballot which basically means it won't be counted. Could it be cause I am a registered Democrat??

alot of my friend's that reg'd democrat didn't get their reg cards at all. hope fully they will be allowed to vote.

i had to send my registration in 3 times before they responded to it with my card. fuckers are fucking us.

Just saw a news real of some girl that complained about her vote, it had all the republican shit checked off as she was about to hit the submit or somthing and the machine basically changed her vote near the completion process!

An Attorney was there and they went and had her vote on another machine.

This was TV.

Yes I mentioned this in another thread. I saw the interview on CNN. The took the entire machine out. What the hell is going to happen to the votes on that machine. This is insane and only going to get worst.

I don´t understand why it has to be so difficult to vote in the US.

I my country (Denmark) everybody above the age of 18 can vote. 2 weeks before an election you get a voting card mailed to you.

If you want to vote, you get your voting card and an ID and go vote, where you get a piece of paper with names on it.

One name per line, you use a pen and place your "x" on the the same line as the person you vote for. There´s no confusion and things happens smoothly.

Why is it so difficult to even get to vote in the US ?
And even if you get to vote, you have machines that doesn´t work or are preloaded with votes or you can´t figure out the punchcards etc. etc.

It´s seem ridicolus (spelling?) - Sorry, if I offend any US webmasters, but honest it´s seems like the very essence of stupidity.

Im going to put on my tin foil hat and say the reason its not simple is because "they" do not want it to be simple. Someone has a lot of control over the outcome of the elections the way the process is currently set up. After this election I think we are going to see huge changes. You would think these changes would have happened after 2000, but I guess one state being the main fuck up wasn't enough to force big changes.
