It pisses me off that TV anchors and execs will all know who won based on sampling and statistics in a few hours, but limited information is released untill polls closed.

Surely the exit polls must be leaked somewhere?

exit polls are when people ask voters as they "exit" the polling station who they voted for. hence the term. so an exit poll is just as likely to have been run by a media organisation.
