I had a very dear online friend, we both worked remotely for the same Internet company (mainstream). She was more sister to me than my own and was there day or night to help or just to chat.
So anyways...life got busy, I got lazy and I just stopped talking to her. I have seen her online for months...never messaged her. Several times she had messaged me when I was away and I never got back to her.
Well, today I messaged her. She is going through a terrible time right now, her husband has been diagnosed with throat cancer...and I feel like total shit. She was there for me when I was going through very difficult times...and I haven't been there for her.
Moral of the story? Well, I'm not going to be there for her starting now and have learned that no matter how hectic life gets you can't let the good people in your life fall by the way side.
