I don't like to call people idiots, especially people I don't know personally, but seriously, it doesn't make sense to me to vote for Bush. I don't particuarly like Kerry, either, but why Bush?

This is how I see it. Why vote for a man who has been PROVEN to be a bad leader (numerous mistakes with Bin Laden, Iraq, WMD, etc.), conservative, outspokenly anti-porn, loss of jobs, taking us from the largest government surplus in recent history to the largest deficit in history, etc... when you can vote for a man with a clean presidential slate who MIGHT do a better job?

If someone showed you two doors and told you there was a man with a gun who would shoot you dead instantly behind one, and either another man who would shoot you dead instantly or a million dollars behind the second door, and one of the doors was made of glass and you could SEE a man with a gun behind it, which one would you open?

Most folks would just walk away, I would imagine, but what if you felt you HAD to do one or the other?

If you don't like Kerry, fine, but for god's sake, why vote for Bush when it has been proven that he's a horrible president? Just don't vote at all.

I personally don't think anyone that votes for Kerry is a true idiot in the sense of the word. With that said, you are an idiot because I'll bet you have no idea what Kerry represents and what his platform is. You seem like the ttype of person who will vote for Kerry just because someone told you to vote for Kerry because he will save porn. You just seem clueless.

As to who will I vote for? I think I have made it clear in previous posts that I will vote for Bush. I have my reasons of which I'm not about to layout here since I doubt everyone would be able to much less comprehend them.

this is the kind of idiocy I'm talking about.

"you are an idiot because I'll bet you have no idea what Kerry represents and what his platform is."

Ok, so what I'm saying is that someone who still votes for Bush after all that's happened is an idiot... you're saying I'm an idiot because of a bet you'd make as to what you assume I might be thinking or what I might know. Not based on anything I do know or will do.

So we're left with what we started... I know you're an idiot by what you've admitted, you think I might be if I think what you think I might think but you're not sure because you have no idea.

you assume, I know... which one of us is the idiot?

Which one would you go vote for? After all, it IS your responsibility to go vote for one of them. Who would it be? And why?

The freaky nutcase of the century?
Or a crackhead with no mind left?

You have to choose one you know. There's no opting out of it.

Logical fallcy.

You don't have a choice between only 2 candidates.

However, if I was going to vote, I'd vote for Bush based solely on the fact that the Kerry people talk so much shit, and it pisses them off. :)

Voting is a privelege people.... not a requirement. You're still free to exercise your right to not give a fuck. :)

I will probably have more than 50 decisions to make on my ballot.

State Issues
Many, many Local Issues
Federal candidates
State candidates
County candidates
City candidates

Shit there will be a ton of crap to vote on.

I feel sorry for people who think ?voting? is just for picking a President.

AMP you completely lost the argument, give it up. Voting is a responsibility for an adult in a democratic society, he never said it was required by law. You're the one with the weak argument. Voting is more comparable to educating your children than driving.

And Baddog, it's always funny when people learn a half truth and then criticize other people based on it, keep up the good work. America is a democratic republic. It's also hilarious that you think Kerry is going to bring back the draft, who told you that? Rush? That's the biggest load of bs I've ever heard.

We are a Constitution-based federal republic; with a strong democratic tradition - not a democratic republic.

Kerry has no choice but to bring back the draft, and raise taxes thru the fucking roof if you are to believe half of the crap that he says he is going to do.

He already said that he is going to escalate the war in Iraq in order to "win" it . . . he has no choice but to bring back the draft if he wants to do that.

Rich 10-31-2004 04:30 PM

Kerry is going to be bringing troops home, and getting other countries to help a hell of a lot more. You don't realize that because you're stuck in your US bubble, but the rest of the world WILL help Kerry get the fuck out of Iraq. They're not going to send troops as long as Bush keeps his 16 permanent bases. Right after Kerry wins several countries are going to announce that they're going to help in one way or another, including Germany and Canada. A US resolution won't be far behind. That's the only kind of "win" anyone can hope for in Iraq at this point.

Oh look the Redneck's back. Hopefully you'll wake up a little bit after Kerry wins and starts to turn the country around, but I doubt it.

Funny to see you talk about facts, every time someone proves you wrong with facts you somehow seem to forget about the threads.

It's also humorous to see you calling a board full of entrepreneurs socialists.

I agree 100%! And sadly, I bet most of the posters here haven't paid attention to their local elections which have MUCH more influence on their lives and business than the presidential election has. At the very minimum, find out the platforms for those running for congress in your area since they have a lot of say on federal decisions!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've heard Kerry say, he want to actually increase the troups in Iraq in order to end this soon. I've not seen ANY country say they will send in more troops to Iraq if Kerry wins or even help us there in any way. Do you have links to this info?

And regardless of what you think, it's still a privelege, and it is still NOT required.

I choose not to vote. You are welcome to make the same choice.
