Because of the iBill mess lately I've had to do some extra work to pay the bills. I recently did 2 shoots with a pretty big player in the biz and one of the requests I had was to bill me as myself, which generally gets me some new exposure and traffic for my site. Well the site that I worked with usually doesn't work with 'webgirls' so they didn't want to bill me as Liv Wylder but did agree to bill me atleast as Liv, better than nothing and I needed the money so I agreed. The day of the first shoot the photographer said he was going to call me Lacey, I didn't want to argue and ruin the mood for the shoot, but I'm pretty pissed now that it's all over with. To be honest, billing me as Liv really won't help my site much if any, but I'm upset more at the prinicpal that I was told one thing and they did another. I hate being all over the internet with names that aren't mine, and probably would have declined this job had I known they were going to bill me as Lacey and not Liv.
Am I just being bitchy or do I have a legitimate reason to be upset. They told me on the phone they would try to get the Liv Wylder approved, but Liv would be no problem. The shoot was awesome, I had a great time and the photographer said it was one of the best shoots he's ever done (which means a lot since this site is so big) but now I don't think I would ever consider shooting with them again because of the deception. It really sucks because I would love to work with them again, but now I have a bit of a trust issue. Maybe I shouldn't think so much about it but I'd love to hear what ya'll think.
