A few years ago a friend was having a birthday piss-up so I did something similar to his car - got him extremely rat-arsed, stole his car keys & remote, opened the sunroof, filled it with packing popcorn that I had been collecting from work for about 2 weeks, and shut the sunroof by remote.

At the time he was a sales manager for a car company, so the car belonged to the company he was working for, not him. Two days later I got a letter from his company along with an invoice for over £600 (about $900) for "new headlining, stripping down and removal of electronic sunroof mechanism to remove foreign objects, and all associated labour costs"....

I was shitting myself - coming up with that sort of money would have been a major problem at that time of my life, so I told my friend this and he offered to have a word with his boss. Eventually it was agreed with his boss that the repair costs would come out of my friends wages, and I was to pay back my friend at the rate of £100 per month.

The end of the month come around, and I arrange to meet my friend after work at the local pub to pay him the first installment.

I get to the pub to find my friend, his boss and a load of other friends waiting there - turns out that the bastard had been playing a joke on me! There was no damage to the car - he had got the company secretary to write up a fake invoice and letter, then got his boss to sign the letter and agree to play along with the joke.

My £100 was to pay for the drinks for everyone...

Interesting idea... There is a very famous artist that does similar work... He filled an art gallery with dirt... and the entry is covered w/ clear plastic...
