Is any man circumcised that wishes the decision was left for him to make when he was older?

I'm having a baby and it's looking like its a boy. I don't want to circumcise and my partner does. Personally, I prefer uncut, but, ultimately I believe the choice should be left to the individual who has to live with the alteration.

I would be upset if my labia and/or clitoral hood, or my earlobes for that matter, were removed without my consent.

I think it doesn't matter in the big scheme of things. I see this kind of thing all the time and when you are first attracted to someone, you don't judge them by what they have under their clothes, do you? Just was explaining this to a friend.

The medical view is that there is no difference , other than an increased likelyhood of infection immediatly after circumcision.

The confusion comes from the term "clean" used in religion. Muslims dont eat pork because it isnt "clean" , but it means nothing about the actual cleanliness of the meat. A cow burger sitting in a pile of mud is "clean" to a muslim, but a sanitized pork chop is dirty.
