Outsourcing => your company remains competitive, and therefore continues to bring money into your country

Not outsourcing => your company loses it's edge, profits fall, other (foreign) companies eventually drive you out of business

There is no alternative.

i dont know what company rick got for outsourcing but all my experence with outsourcing has been negative. Having someone work for you that doestn even understand this inudstry ( and yes i honestly think a office full of people from panama are not adult webmasters ) could make your biz competitive ?

If anyhting will just piss off webmasters

Kudos to rick for being honest on what is going on with his company and I know he will come out on top but we wil see how this outsource shit works

outsourced to Panama.....?

Chris 10-30-2004 11:08 AM

I can see outsourcing maybe graphic designers as if they got the skills why not

but outsourcing a " managment " position and tech support and other aspects of your business that you deal with your clients on a personal level ...

i just dont understand that

Are you guys gonna have a booth at the show? I can just imagin your staff there

The effectiveness of outsourcing completely depends on the companies/people you do business with. There are good ones and bad ones. Many people who have had bad experiences with "outsourcing" have actually just done business with amateurish third rate companies. That isn't a good idea independent of country.

Not only do I have no hard feelings but I actually recommend him to anyone who is looking for help running their program. He?s worked hard and always been loyal. He?s just another victim of the global outsourcing problem. We?ve given him a nice severance package and wish him all the best.

That said, all CJ Bucks operations have been outsourced to Panama. Please contact Paul Dinin ([email protected]) for all support and related webmaster issues. The company in Panama has hired many new people for CJ Bucks and the velocity of development is about to increase dramatically. Expect great things.

a severence package and a positive reference is a good deal by adult internet standards.. :thumbsup

My business partner and best friend works in the office of this "outsourcing" company in Panama. Panama is in the eastern time zone and a closer flight from Atlanta than Las Vegas. This is hardly a situation where we are letting another company handle everything. If you guys think long and hard enough about this it will make sense.

Just curious, what does "severence package" mean?

It means he keeps getting his salary for an extended period of time while he finds another job or starts his own company.
