rofl, cause bush has such a GREAT track record while already in office...hahashahahahahaha...that is the worst arguement I have ever heard....

what sucks to me is that both candidates suck ass, so I have to vote for who I think sucks the least

I won't predict the electoral vote, but I will say that Bush will need Florda in the end and will get it. The popular vote will be split 50/50, possibly 51/49 Bush

considering they already "lost" 60,000 absentee ballots, i think you may be right...did they ever "find" those ballots?

mcmc 10-28-2004 01:46 PM

Read in the newspaper yesterday:

Germany voted: more than 75% Kerry
Switzerland voted: 82% Kerry
Austria voted: 73% Kerry

Just thought you might be interested what the german speaking world would vote :)

NOT the stuff he has said during the campaign, that's just crap... it's the stands that he has taken throughout his senatorial career.

I've lived outside the US for half of my life....under socialist governments. NO THANKS.

I'll be surprised. cause I expect the other side to cheat again.

We really don't give a FUCK about what the German speaking world has to say, with the possible exception of the German speaking world that lives in Pennsylvania.

There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between registering to vote and actually getting off your lazy ass and doing it. The voter group in question has a terrible record of going to the polls on election day, when it counts.

Johny Traffic 10-28-2004 01:52 PM

any right wing extremist lunatic like boobmaster will be another person I will add to people I will never do business with.

another thing no one seems to mention is all the moderate republicans that Bush has LOST votes on this time...

imo there are a lot more Republican's voting for a Democrat than ever before this time...

I know, and this is just sad.

If all people in the US would think like you, the US would be a third world country in about 20 years.

No, we'd be a third world country in 20 years if we thought like the Eurpoeans and Canadians.

We are a super power. We couldn't give a shit what anyone has to say about us.

You say you have lived half your life under socialist governments. So how can you possibly describe Kerry as socialist? Even by US standards he is centrist. Voters in most Europeans would put him further right than that.

mcmc 10-28-2004 02:10 PM

well, at least you believe so .....

The US is a super-power right now. Absolutly true.

Like the Romans, earlier the Babylonians, the Huns, later the Austrians, the Allemanns, Spain and the Dutch in the time of discoveries or the French under Napoleon or Russia under Stalin. Time is flying by. Wrong decisions brought them to fall.

I dont say that voting bush will change the whole situation (hes just a millisecond in history)... but the US is heading in a wrong direction. This way, it will lose its super-power in some years (maybe 20-50), like all the ancient super-powers did, when they turned ignorant. period.

In Europe he'd be regarded as a right winger, it makes me laugh when the U.S say people are socialists or liberals, they are all right wingers, but some not as right wing as others

you forgot the British Empire :) But you are correct when you say all will fall, they always do, the next superpower will be the United States of Europe. Things are allready changing but the idiots cant see it

This is very true. However, there are many who think that will not be the case in this election.

In the end, the votes will tell the tale. The only thing left for anyone to do is vote. Debates are a waste of time.

If you want your guy in the white house, vote for him. If you don't, then don't vote. This election is close enough that a non-vote for your candidate is basically a vote for the other side.

Vote.

CET 10-28-2004 02:22 PM

Yes, you will be the only one not surprised, because they're pretty much dead locked right now.

I think the republicans will stop at nothing to get to where they need to be. Really, that is what should scare people the most. They have 0 morals and/or scruples, and its has become a very dangerous game at this point.

:2 cents:

This post can apply to any extremist in either direction. This can apply to democrats just as easily. Right now democrat groups are passing out fliers to people instructing them on how to "pre-emptively" sue for voting fraud. We're watching our entire system turn into a huge bubbling pile of shit. If we don't get away from the 2 party system, we're pretty much doomed to collapse, IMHO. :2 cents:

I got money on southeast asia or china, not the EU. They are not progressive enough nor do they have the workforce to match china/SE Asia.

Thats true, but if that is the case, then look at the 2000 election.

If your saying that republicans and older people are more likely to vote (which they are) Then you will see roughly the same turnout as in 2000 for the repubs. All the Dems need is a small spike in voter turnout and its theirs. One can assume that with the huge spike in Democratic registrations by 4 to 1 in many places, then technically we would only need a modest spike in turnout to win.

In my case, I personally know a good handful of people that have either never voted before, or just registered this year. They will be voting on the 2nd without a doubt, and obviously haven't been polled yet.

Voter turnout in the lower age groups will still be lower than some of the other groups, but dems only need a little boost.

TheMob 10-28-2004 02:52 PM

well, let's hope you're right!

Thanks for posting that poll.

latinasojourn 10-28-2004 03:47 PM

kerry will win, but not by a mile.

here's what's happening.

the staunch republicans will come out and vote---there the ones that pollsters have an easy time polling due to hard-wired telephones.

but what will be different this election is that a very large % of young people will vote, also blacks, who are pissed at the 2000 Florida snafu.

and this group is under-represented in the polls, due to cellphone usage mostly and the fact that many poor blacks don't pay their phone bill.

but in 2004 these people will vote in large numbers due to grass roots registration drives---there will be many new voters in this election, that have never before voted in their lives.

and this will put kerry over the top, watch it happen.

Do you know his record in the senate? You can get a hold of his entire voting record (if you want to take the time, which I did)

What he is SAYING NOW is centrist, for the sake of the election, but his record says something else.

Really he barely got into office the last time.. and with all the shit that has happened in the past 4 years do Republicans really think MORE people or even the same number of people are going to give him another 4 years?

He let terrorists attack the US and still hasnt tracked them down. He started a war on a pretext. He lost a shitload of jobs.. I dont see this winning him any of the undecideds from 2000.

JOHN KERRY IS NOT GOING TO WIN THIS ELECTION. THE SOONER YOU ACCEPT THIS FACT, THE EASIER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS WILL BE.
