Actually it's just the opposite. A weak dollar generally means US stuff is cheaper for the world and world stuff is more expensive in the US. Therefore a weak dollar means more exports and less imports, i.e. a lower trade deficit.

A little something called OUTSOURCING is a major problem. The gap between upper class and lower class needs to be lessened. Americans are too greedy for their own good. The gap between CEOs and the average worker is more than 400 times no where in Europe is it greater than 40 times. What happens when you have a bunch of very rich people and very poor people? I can tell you it definitely isn't pretty. The greater the gap the more serious the problem for the US. I just think Kerry becoming president isn't going to change the US economy. It's in deep trouble.
