The last political thread.

The Bush Administration lied to the American people and the world.

If you recall back before the invasion of Iraq, The Bush Administration would not even allow the weapons inspectors to complete their work. George Bush kicked them out of Iraq (not Saddam). The Neo-conservatives had already decided they were going to war, no matter what.

They knew Iraq had no nukes. Here is proof they lied to you, on tape.

Why then would they go to war if they knew Iraq posed no threat?
It is part of the The Project for the New American Century.

The Neo-conservatives that have hijacked the republican party believe in an agenda of American world domination, by any means necessary. 9/11 was simply an excuse to put plans into action that Dick Cheney and his cohorts have been plotting since the 1990's. Assistant Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz has admitted that the decision was made to attack Iraq just 2 days after 9/11,

Today, after an unprecedented onslaught of propaganda, Bush supporters still believe that Iraq had WMD and that Saddam was involved in the attacks of 9/11. Even though Bush himself has publically admitted there were none.

And the premise that Saddam would aid Al Queda is not only false, but absurd. Saddam was a secular leader. Osama hated Saddam even more than he hated the USA, calling him an "infidel" and a "bad muslim", demanding that Saddam's government be overthrown; so that Islamic Clerics may regain their power in that part of the the holy lands.

Crashing planes into the WTC was not Osama's goal; it was a tactic.
He wanted America to over-react and strike the muslim world in a way that would polarize the (formerly) moderate muslim population of the planet against us.

9/11 was an invitation, and Bush took the bait.

Osama could not overthrow Saddam alone, so he got the USA to do it for him. Now, without someone as brutal as Saddam to keep his thumb down on the power of the clerics, Iraq is free to become another Islamic theocracy like Iran.

This is what democracy means in Iraq. It means the majority of the devoutly religious population, who want to live under Islamic Law, will elect whoever their religious leaders tell them to; to form another anti-western government. Bush has just handed another oil-rich country to Islam.

And, like a genie granting wishes, Bush's strategic bumbling has given Osama the army he always wanted. Instead of just a few hundred extremist criminals, there are now hundreds of thousands of new recruits pledging to fight America.

After all of this, the Neo-cons are still trying to convince us that we're "safer" now that their boogeyman Saddam is sitting in a jail cell. How many of you actually know the real history of Saddam? In reality, the only connection between Osama and Saddam is that we made them both what they are.

Saddam has been inaccurately demonized. Sure, he was a brutal, but (as we are learning) that is necessary in this part of the world with this population at this point in time. (and better he take the heat than us) But Saddam was also our ally, and our watchdog in the region against the spread of communism and radical islam. The infamous gassing of the Kurds occured because they tried to start a civil war (over land they had no claim to in over 1000 years) while all of Iraq's conventional forces were busy fighting Iran for us.

After the Cold War, president Bush Sr decided that he was no longer a valuable asset and doublecrossed him, instigating the first Gulf War.
Quote:
U.S. Ambassador Glaspie - We have no opinion on your Arab - Arab conflicts, such as your dispute with Kuwait. Secretary (of State James) Baker has directed me to emphasize the instruction, first given to Iraq in the 1960's, that the Kuwait issue is not associated with America.
And that was infact our long-standing policy. But then Bush's Saudi friends objected, and the rest is history.

Don't be sheep. Don't just accept the shallow soundbites of events parroted by the crippled corporate media who have no incentive to actually educate you. Start with the links I have provided, then continue to do your own research. You have 7 days to decide America's future.

Right now, the world does not hold us (average american citizens) responsible for what this administration is doing. People outside of America realize that we could not have known who/what we were voting for in 2000; and so we are currently given the benefit of the doubt. However, if we re-elect these people, then we are giving our endorsement to the Neo-cons and we will all be judged the same.

From someone who's not from the U.S. I'd like to know, If Kerry wins how do you think it will change things? All your presidents seem to be fruit loops anyway. What does Kerry say he would do about Iraq?

The only thing it will really do is take a little heat off the US with global relations. That's providing that Kerry goes about foreign policy in the right way. It's still not the cure though. Kerry will have his own agenda if elected just as Bush does. The big problem with Bush however, is how he has basically snubbed the rest of the world with the "with us or against us" attitude. Many don't see the huge implications of that but some can see things on a grander scale. What this country really needs is to string our politicians up by their balls and start over. There are too many old men looking for self advancement that have been in office for too many years. When the National Security Advisor is out with the president campaigning when it has already been stated that the possibility of a terrorist attack is going to be high come election time, then something is wrong with the government. Condy Rice should be at her post doing her job right now to protect this country but is instead on the stump with W trying to protect her job. Sad sad times...

If we indeed did stay out of other people's politics we wouldn't be in the situation we are in now.
