i rmember my first sponsor. Shit, who was it, fast-porn.com was one of the sites, paid 2 cents a banner click. Anyway, i used to check my stats like every 8 minutes from morning to night. LOL

I have a REAL problem with my stats... I seem to be checking them once every 10-20 minutes or so! I am honestly addicted to checking my stats! In fact, when I am out and away from my computer, I tend to wonder how many sales I am getting etc... when I get back to my computer and finally check them I am either really happy with the results or really bummed.

Does anyone else have this problem? Are there any cures?

And in answer to your question (statement) Bake, I agree that CCbill's stats arent the greatest! They dont really help in the way of analyzing and tweaking your traffic!

I love AP stats ,I only check them once a week but you see the sites where the sales are from and you can tweak the other ones the same, CC bill needs referal url Stats , I was getting a bunch of sales the other day and was very confused where they comeing from.In the end I had to ask the sponsor to look it up for me. Turns out the new FPA I made where kicking ass. So now Im puting them on everything.

The Harvard School of Business (and I am sure that many others do as well) teaches the basic 10-5-3-1 theory of business. For every 10 contacts, 5 contacts will get in touch with you, 3 contacts will have a serious conversation with you and 1 will purchase your product. While this is not a hard and fast rule, the basic premise of this rule is absolute.

I use Hitbox for my stats, and am working on a php script that will allow me to track sites myself. Checking sponsor stats is something that you should do sparingly as you will get a better idea of how your site is performing by adding the dimension of time to your equation. Anyone can get thrown off if they see 20 signups one day, and 1 signup the next day. They jump to conclusions about being cheated, or that something is wrong with their site.

I think that adding the dimension of time and quantity to your perception of your stats you will be able to detach yourself from your product long enough truly evaluate the triad of your product, your sponsors, and your conversions.

It's just a thought, but getting too personally involved in anything concerning money whether it is business or blackjack can only hurt your earning potential in the long run.
