Telecommuting

besides working on adult stuff, how many people telecommute?
i currently drive an hour to work and an hour back and am considering a job where i could work from home.....but with a paycut. although it would be great not having to waste 2 hours of my day in traffic, my concern is that working from home i'll be able to find things to distract me. anyone been in this situation?

Plenty of cheapo offices down in Pioneer Square. When I lived in Seattle I got one there just so I would be more productive.

If you have discipline & time management work from home. If not don't even consider it. The biggest other factor is whether you will miss being around other people all day. If you have a normal social life outside of work then you should be fine...

Good luck.

I like the whole "rent-a-cubicle" idea.

Go through the whole motions as if you were traveling to your new job and then work all day as you would at an office.

Don't get distracted and your day will be productive.

I've been doing it for 6 months now and at first it was tough.
