Anyone use 1and1.com For Domain Registration or Hosting?

I was thinking about giving them a try. I hear they are a big company that is trustworthy but I was wondering if anyone heard good things or have tried them.

I bought a domain from them that was available, then they wrote me 24hrs later and whois showed someone else with the name.
Then 2 days later I registered the same name at namecheap. Fuck them and their $5.99, i'll pay the extra at namecheap to have instant dns. Oh, also domains take 6-24hrs to become live with them. |

ohhh hmm interesting, might give that namecheap a try then I had visited that site a while ago looked good.
I kinda thought 1and1 was a bit weird so I wont be using that then

spend just a couple more dollars per domain and keep them somewhere safe and more secure.
