Question about high payouts (serious biz thread)

If someone came out with a new adult program, run by an affiliate rep of some company that left to make a program- and they offered $70 per signup standard payout, would you jump your current sponsor to promote them?

Just curious. The sales rep had a great reputation, the design looks awesome.

Catch is the sites are the same old shit. Look the same as everything else. They don't offer anything really new or exciting. It's just a higher payout.

Now knowing full well many programs have a hard time paying out $35 and making a profit that makes it worth while, why would you jump to the one paying double?

You KNOW they are shaving. How much you are not sure. Why do people in this industry have these dollar signs light up in their eyes when a higher payout comes up?

Discuss. I'd like to hear everyone's feedback!

Steen: congrats on fucking a biz thread on the first reply. That must be some sort of a record. Don't you have a contest to win somewhere?

I think the fact companies have a hard time paying out $35 isn't true. They don't want to payout more because they want to make as much profit as possible, and thats about the industry average. If they get 1-2 rebills average, they can pay more then (for most sites).

If everyone starts offering 40-50$ standard payout, I'm sure everyone would follow....

As for your question, I think many would try them simply because they do offer more....as to if they stick with them, all comes down to the numbers they get.

I'm not sure. I mean the way some programs are run it is amazing they aren't in the 25% chargeback bracket. Some of the members areas are so awful that it surprises me ANYONE -ever- rebills.

But that's not all the programs. I am sure some do very well. But for a NEW program to jump out of the gate and offer all this stuff, wouldn't you think they would need financial backing of some sort to avoid shaving?

Or, if it doesn't work out for them they would just disappear and not pay people, as some companies have done in the past.....
