Tightness in my jaw and my joints ached. Felt like the flew. Had the chills and then the sweats. Also a knot in the center of my back. I did fall, but did not pass out. The next morning, I went to a doctor cause it seemed like the thing to do. Would have been better to get my ass to the ER. I called the ER (was late) and the stupid nurse I talked to should have urged me to come in. The symptoms were classic. The earlier the treatment, the less damage.
I gotta say, if I had those symptoms, I wouldn't have thought I had a heart attack

Nope, but I will most likely have one during the next few years.

There are plenty of web sites that desccibe all the possible symptoms, suggest all here study them!!! Plus get regulay checkups. I see my doctor every three to four months.

Well, if that helps someone :thumbsup

The big issues I think was the tightness in the jaw and pain in the center of the upper back.

Other symptoms include chest pain (obvious)

If your left arm falls asleep and feels like 100 lbs, that could also be a sign.

One problem is you can't go off to the ER for every ache and pain... So it's a little freaky. I go by the three sympton rule. Three symptoms and I'm off to the ER or on the phone to the Doctor's office. OR one major symptom, like sharp pain the chest.

Had a couple of false alarms at the ER. Think most do that after they've had a heart attack.

Good thread KRL - maybe it will make some take note of their health.... Thanks.

I hope I'll never be able to give a "yes" response to this question.

I thought I was having a heart attack once and walked across the street to the pharmacy and the pharmacist ran to get some asprin and told me to chew it and swallow it.

I went to the hospital and it turned out it was a joint or something in my chest that was causing my chest to pound like that.

But now I know if you have a heart attack, grab some asprin and chew it and swallow it

My dad had one about 6 years ago.. he was shoveling rocks and gravle out of our driveway and kpet saying he had heartburn for several days...they had to give him a quadruple bypass.

My gramma has had several heart attacks. and my granpa had a stroke 5 years ago.. he was wasting away after that and refused to do physical therapy...he finally passed away last year.

High blood pressure and heart attacks run on both sides of my family.

yep, asprin can save your life in the event of a heart attack, if you take some right away.

Apparantly he has a genetic heart disorder that did not surface until then... The shock and stressed caused a trigger and he was in the hospital for almost a month.

I hope the bitch felt guilty :1orglaugh

ouch. But that's probably not the kind of HA we usually talk about, this is a case of arrhytmia
