That's insane. TGP's NEED your galleries as their content, it uses YOUR bandwidth and you're going to PAY them to list you?
This is the type of thing that webmasters need to stand up and revolt about. They're getting away with it, because shmucks are doing it. Do you have a guarantee that you will get enough sign-ups to profit from this? I doubt it. The only one profiting will be thumbzilla. Open your eyes.

The Hun's top spot goes for $500. This is one listing, and it will obviously stay at the top for that day for a year.

I think it's outrageous, I haven't even grossed $250 from a listing in the middle of the hun.. Either I'm doing something wrong, or I don't see how anyone could make a dime with that.

I think TheHun's surfers are pretty loyal and trust the site, so they tend to support his sponsors.

I'm sure advertisers make a buttload of money buying spots on his site because they keep buying ads over and over.

If you pay for top listing for a day it will be on top of that day's listing even when it goes into the archive (for a year)...

Pretty good deal if you are good enough to make money on the gallery...

Oh and to those that say TGPs need you I say BAHH... all they would need to do is create 1000 galleries and start rotating them... then where ya gonna post yours??

WTF ? when i write to TheHun and ask him if he likes my gallery design he replies the same day. He always replies, no matter whats the problem/question. And thumbzilla doesnt care about it's webmastres.
Thats why i respect Hun and thats why i don't give a flying fuck about thumbzilla.
BTW, Oh-Uh send MUCH more traffic than thumbzilla, and there's no problem in getting listed on Oh-oh.

My last gallery submitted to The Hun were at spot #9. I sold 22 memberships to the site (Drunk Slut) I was promoting.

You do the math - if you know how to sell your sites, buying listings might not be such a bad idea.

I have to start charging Im sure. I even hade webmasters ask if they can buy the top spot. and I spiuditly ask them why. One guy said you posted me top twice this week and asked for nothing I said you sent me great galleries and that brings surfers in, you have made me money? Im doing somethig wrong for sure.

I'd say go for it man - charge what you think is good for your traffic (I don't know what that is, so I can't suggest a number) but make it reasonable.. Top spots on TGPS are worth money!. The big guys buy listings, as many as they can get their hands on..

Let us know if you decide to do so, I am going to start buying listings sometime soon, and I want to start small.. The $2k price of admission for the Hun is a bit much for me to risk right now. ;>

I used to accept submissions, but then realized that most submitters keep galleries online for about 3-6 months and then redirect them. So I stopped accepting submissions on all my TGP sites and converted them all to fake TGPs. Less hassle, less traffic leaks, and less maintenance all around.

I've bought one of the chepest listing range, paid like $50 for a month to try, made 1 sale, no traffic stats/details however.

Top 20 spots are the paid ones, but if there are not enough sponsors, submitted galleries can go there. Some weeks ago I was listed at #6 which is a sign of lack of paying advertisers...
