Google Image traffic

How quickly does G reindex their image searches? I've heard 2-3 month at a time, do you have different experiences?

Cheers!

Google promptly updates their search results with every image on my site the day I delete 99% of them.

And... why do you not leave them up?

There's moneys to be made in image searches, lots of people do click through to your site once they find an image of interest.

Just happened. Same images and tags have been on my site for 2 years. I deleted a ton of webcam pics because of some new rules on which content could be used and 1 day later I have google traffic out the ass from image searches.

Are you suggesting that it did indeed take a longer period of time until your images were spidered and indexed?

On this particular site it took almost 2 years. I'd almost forgotten about it.
