You can pay in advance and have the links ready for approval a week mor so before the listings.

I think you can buy #1 spots now for like March or April

Bought my #1 spot a few months ago and will be listed in Jan. I'm still in the #2-5 queue

Been thinking about this as well would it be smarter too buy a top spot on the hun or a lower spot with the top spot on another big site?...
