Should I be worried about "Chassis fan is Abnormal"?

On startup today I got that message, do I need a new fan??

I'd look and listen to the fan(s) yourself and see if it seems like it's normal. The message could means the power supply fan or other fans on the case (like an inlet on the front). If the message is repeated, I'd be a little concerned. It could mean something like a fan is supposed to be rotating at a certain speed, and it's now slower, which could be a warning sign of a future failure. Bad news to have a fan go completely dead, especially if you have only one fan for chassis cooling...that can bake your CPU and memory beyond repair. There are also fans on CPUs and some graphics cards, but if air isn't flowing through the case, those fans will only help for a while.

yeah definitely a good idea. the fan sounds fine to me right now.

the only thing i could possibly attribute that message to is yeasterday I hit restart instead of turn off and once windows logged off i unplugged the computer from the back since i didnt want to wait for it to reboot again.
