Well, if you think allowing the government permission to monitor any citizen they would like without court order a freedom lost...then there you go.

I'm not looking for a debate here or anything, I'm looking for the general view of what right/freedoms people in and outside of America think America has lost... specifically.

How about your right to privacy. The feds can go into a library and demand a list of what books you read now!

Under the Patriots Act Americans can be incarcerated without being charged with a crime, without access to a lawyer, without access to family.
The Supreme Court is addressing this as the cases reach them. But it takes time.
Americans were held at Guantanamo Bay as "Illegal Combatants" WTF newspeak is that????
USA Patriot Act was passed nearly unanimously by the Senate 98-1, and 357?66 in the House, with the support of members from across the political spectrum.

Do some research before you speak.
I understand this. I am not Pro-Kerry..I am anti-Bush and anti-Current Political System. Kerry may be no better than Bush...but I believe in if someone else is doing a bad job, then try someone else...don't just keep with the person because you feel no one is better. If Kerry sucks, in 4 years get rid of him.
I think many reforms on how our political system works need to be made.

The right to an attorney when arrested under national security.
The right to a speedy trial when arrested under national security.
The right to a judge issued search warrant.
Habeus Corpus.
The right to privacy. The government can require companies to hand over your personal information without a warrant.
The right to protest without fear of arrest (NYC Republican National Convention protestors were arrested without cause as judged by the NY Supreme Court).
Capital punishment is flawed. We've sent innocent people to die in electric chairs and locked some away for decades, even after trials, laywers, and judges have heard their cases.
Imagine what could happen if people are allowed to be held and charged, without lawyers, judges, or trials. A lof of people could go missing for no good reason, and it's easy to say, hey they're only going to target terrorists, until it happens to you or one of your family members.
I don't know if we've lost "a" freedom per se but it's only now that I've read of instances of people being held without access to lawyers or anybody for that matter. Pretty scary.
