          I just got done watching it. It wasnt as bloody as I thought it would be and I didnt die of a heart attack while watching it. The poor man does take a beating though.

                          Watched it last night for the first time. Yup, pretty gruesome with the violence, but probably par for the course given the period in history.

                          Found it hard to believe a guy could live through all that, actually.

                                              That's one of the interesting aspects of the film... everyone has a different impression of it, it invokes a different response in everyone. Even people who have no interest or belief in the bible whatsoever can derive something from this film, or so I've seen anyway.

                                                          I saw it too.....wow....we left the theater and drove home silent and kinda sad.....he took one hell of a beating! Was a great movie but not your traditional entertain me movie.....
