With another $9.1 billion surplus in the last fiscal year, the finances in our country are just too well

7 years in a row with surpluses, and they lowered the taxes by $100 billions too.

It's definitly NOT looking good for the exchange rate.

Yeah, I can't wait for the day when I take in my cheques or cash in my wires for LESS than they're worth in the U.S.

As long as a buck is still worth a buck I am ok with it. I don't love, but I like the fact that the economy is getting stronger. For the most part, I don't think the (CAN) government will allow that too happen. To much at stake if we even out or come out ahead.

I would think that at some point, the Canadian government would purposely devalue the Canadian dollar to keep it down.

If CAD goes a bit more up it'll be cheaper to live in the US as soon as pricess here are not dropping down even a cent .
We'll start doing shopping on the US side .... it used to be the other way b4, Americans used to shop here.

then they wonder why companies like Bombardier had to fire like 2000 people. They just cant compete with companies like Embrair. When compared to the US Dollar, the Canadian $ goes up like 20% and the Brazilian $ depreciates by 35%. Idiots
