United Nations snubbed population plan for sex education.

As reported in the Calgary Sun this morning ...

"United Nations (reuters) - More then 250 world figures - BUT NOT THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION - have urged the UN to promote a population agenda that seeks women's education, health care and family planning.

The US refused to support a statement from presidents, prime ministers and Nobel Prize winners, released yesterday, because it included the concept of "sexual rights," a State Department letter said.

Ten years ago, the UN abandoned population control goals. Instead it determined that if women were literate and had access to reproductive health care, they would choose to have fewer children.

Yesterday's statement reaffirms a 1994 commitment to promote reproductive rights.

On my website for many years has been the PRIMARY statement ...

"Every person that is reproductively capable has a self evident right to an understanding of such."

This is VERY important as it means that teenagers have rights to sexual knowledge, something that the current "faith based" administration does not want to happen because it implies a "comprehensive" sex education for high school students and not just "abstinence".

We live in a sexual dark ages and Bush is part of the reason.
