Even if the program "rulez" -- if you don't get paid, anyone with a brain will move on.
But Kim -- like you said you know the guys that run the program -- so an even better reason to use them. I prefer to use the programs of people that know me or care to know who the fuck I am. I'm not saying anything bad about CEN though -- from what I can remember they were very responsive and helpful w/ me -- as a matter of fact I think I remember they even assign you some sort of advertising representative to help you push the proggie -- I thought that was very cool... I just couldn't convert their sites at the time so I moved on... I prefer more intimate sites now anyway -- not big monster sites w/ no personality. I haven't looked at CEN though for at least a year so maybe they are different now.
I've even had problems w/ AP a couple of times due to probs w/ the mailman -- but eventually I always get the checks -- the mail system can really fuck you over sometimes. I can't wait until all this shit is done electronically by wire transfer or E-Gold or some other shit...

They wouldnt be in business year after year if they didn't.

While this thread kind of lost it in the middle, I need to clarify something: I got responses from both companies at the same time because I *mailed them at the same time* and both responds very promptly (indeed they have done so in the past as well).
I mailed both companies, because both June payments *seemed* late. In my email, I was careful not to insinuate anything (since I have no idea why the checks haven't arrived - all I know is that they haven't).
I was mainly posting here to express my surprise at having received near-identical *solutions* (perhaps calling them near-identical responses clouded the issue - the emails were 100% different but the course of action in each case was the same i.e. aggregate and pay 2 months together).
The two missing checks, combined, come to $2,800 approx. so you can understand why I am so keen to keep an eye on what's happening.
I did not mean to SAY that I wouldn't get paid (I don't think I did) - I was just asking if anyone else had experienced similar problems recently, and if so, how it worked out for you...

Both companies pay international webmasters once a month. I live in Japan.
Post normally takes a week from the US, ten days max. if they're having a bad time of it. So at 3 weeks I "blew the whistle" and emailed the respective companies.
I've received checks from CEN twice in the past, quickly and with no hassles. I'd signed up for MaxCash in June so this will be my first check, when it arrives.

Actually I was going to use rainbows and the Care Bears as a metaphor for the Boneprone and GFY family but then this special pickup line thread entered into my heart and I remembered what juicylinks said,

If I was Maxcash sending out my first check to an affiliate in Japan and he said he didn't recieve it, I'd be in no hurry to resend it. It's one of the oldest scams out there. Rush him a second check and oops, they both come back cashed and shortly there after the joins are found to be fraudulant or they all charge back and the affiliate disappears.
In CEN's shoes, I'd be just as leary. The mail overseas ALWAYS has foul ups. fact of life. Why rush out a second check for over a grand when the first one is still likely to show up. (if 2 checks from 2 different US companies didn't show up, I'm blaming the mail service. If the webmaster didn't come here with it, I'd be VERY suspicious of a scam)
So how about we give the two sponsors a pass on this one since neither said they weren't going to pay.

We pay overseas monthly due to check charges most overseas webmasters incur when cashing their checks. If you didn't get your check it was most likely lost in the mail. Especially if going overseas. Gkk you have some real options though. I've been doing a little research on wandering around the world and there are two things you can do.
1. Get a re-mailing service in Florida. They have these set up for full time people that live on sailboats... ;) They keep your mail in Florida and mail you your checks at regular intervals, or have them just mail you your checks as soon as they get them, etc... You give them instructions. This way you get a USA address like everyone else -- and then you could have all your checks sent express from the US.
2. I was researching Costa Rica. The mail system there is pretty slow because of the way they tell directions down there -- it's all sortof by landmarks and shit... So there's an association you can join and you have an address in the US (for your magazine subscriptions and checks, etc...) and then all the mail comes through the association a lot quicker than it would be delivered through the mail. Who knows maybe the Japanese govt. is screening your shit -- one of my late checks from AP came opened once -- that was fucked up...! But I'm sure you could find some group or association that shuttles mail back and forth from the USA to Japan faster.
