Well if you buy or lease new, then all is included, except tires, rears need to be changed at about 17k so that's about 800.00 installed.

I just turned my 2003 M3 in I spent a total of 1600.00 for three years, and that was all tires.

I also had a 99 M3 before this, under 50k miles all I have ever spent money on was for oil changes and tires, if you find a low mileage one you should be set

If you can't keep up with maintence on a car then thats pretty sad. Its not very hard to keep up with regular maintence. Check tire pressure weekly or every week along with checking all fluids. Then just get the oil changed and air fliter and other small things like that...but nothing hard.

You will spend on Tires. They go fast.

Besides that, it's a driving machine and has given me no problems.

have only payed for oil change for over a year, not a single problem ( got 2001 model )...

don't think there's a 2000 M3, new body style starts from 2001 unless you talking about e36...

main comon problems with 2001+ bm's:
-cam shaft sensor
-water pump
-arm bushings
-overboosted steering wheel

if the car been taken care of it will run forever just little things like window regulators, etc might need to be replaced.

good luck

Ive owned 3, all new, a 94 3 coupe, a 99 3 sedan, and 02 3 coupe. Only the 94 gave me any grief, the rest have fun flawlessly, with only minor problems.
