Photographers: Would any of you accept a conditional release?

I recently had a spat with a model I was planning on shooting. She wanted to control where her image was shown. Basically, I could only shoot her if I could guarantee that the material would only go to certain websites. While I can appreciate that on a personal level, there's no way I would shoot a model under those circumstances (and my release clearly states that I can sell the images to anyone I please.)

She seemed to believe that some of the bigger names she had shot only held the rights to release her image in certain websites or magazines. Am I right in assuming that Playboy, Penthouse, etc. also make their models sign a release saying that the pics can be released in anyway that the aforementioned companies please?

It was a strange series of conversations with this bipolar model. She saw my ad on a modeling website. The first sentence on the page is "I provide content for licensing to adult websites." I guess it wasn't clear, because she contacted me looking for work. When we first spoke on the phone, she asked me "Are you a content provider?" I said yes. She dictated the terms under which we could shoot (limited distribution, no interview, a few other stipulations) and I said "thanks but no thanks." I week later, she calls back and says she wants to shoot with me. We set up a shoot date. Two days before the shoot, she calls me and says "I just found out that you are a content provider." She cancelled the shoot, said she was going to warn every model in L.A. about me, blah blah blah.

I was tempted to start some drama about this, since she claims 4 webmasters on GFY saw me post about shooting her and "warned her" about me. Near as I can tell, these 4 trusted sources are really 4 butt-kissers trying to make points with her by dumping on someone they know nothing about (because, quite frankly, I'm not important enough to have 4 enemies.) At first it bothered me, but then I realized that I get about 2 emails a month from models who are referred by other photographers, webmasters and models, so the good outweighs the bad. Anyway, if these 4 GFYers are reading this page right now, let me take this opportunity to thank you. As unreasonable as this model was over the phone, I can only imagine what she must be like during a photo shoot. You have saved me 4-5 hours of complete hell.
