I seriously go around telling my friends who barely know the internet about it, let alone my friends who DO know the internet

I agree, they should make some simple FAQ there, using simple terms or explaining the language they use.

I think it is true, that - regardless how great this innovation might be - some people won't "Waste" 15 minutes of their time to read about it. They should be able to know the most important things after two minutes.

I didn't actually get to see any of the presentations. I hope I get another chance.

It definitely seems to me like it's worth putting in the time to understand. It's funny how many people will spend 30 minutes or an hour downloading a movie from a slow server but won't put twenty minutes into trying to understand something that can help make them money.
